Vykintas Labanauskas

After screenwriting BA in Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy Vykintas studied animation at Ecole MoPA, France, and later lived in Prague for 5 years. Since 2018 he’s actively working in various Lithuanian and international short, feature and TV projects as director, animator, story artist, screenwriter, and story consultant. In addition to that he’s occasionally writing and co-writing live action films. His debut animated short film “Grandma’s pancakes”, co-directed with Dominyka Adomaityte, was nominated as the best animated film in Lithuanian Cinema Awards back in 2020. After coming back to Lithuanian in 2021 he co-founded “Glass Elephants Creative Studio”, a private company dedicated to animation production. In 2023 he started teaching an animation and screenwriting course at Vilnius Art Academy.
