Funeral

Begravelsen

An eight-year-old boy, shaken by his grandfather’s death, struggles with scary ideas about what happens after we die and searches for comfort.

As small boy of 8, Francis, is starting to understand the greater world around him. And he has a lot of questions. Coming home from the funeral of his beloved grandpa, one of them burns particularly bright; what happens when we die? His colorful imagination tosses up some wide-ranging and scary suggestions; do we stick around the house, maybe under the stairs, like pale ghosts in sheets, do we burn in an eternal campfire – the hottest one ever – or is it even anything at all?
