We are excited to announce the first edition of the Animation Lab Netherlands<\/strong>, which will take place in spring 2024. The intense 3-day training is tailor made for Dutch film industry professionals wishing to gain knowledge and insight into the production of animated films. It aims to provide an in-depth insight into the animation industry and topics such as the development of animated projects, production and post-production, festival strategy and distribution. The residential workshop is formatted to discover the animation industry specifics through masterclasses by leading experts, moderated and interactive group work sessions and individual consultations.<\/p>\n

Tutors<\/strong><\/p>\n

Animation Lab Netherlands will be led by experienced producers Martin Vandas<\/a> (MAUR Film, Czech Republic)<\/strong> and Jelena Popovi\u0107<\/a> (National Film Board of Canada)<\/strong>. The workshop event will take place from 11 to 13 April 2024<\/strong> in Amsterdam, alongside the KABOOM Animation Festival<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Participation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Animation Lab Netherlands is open for Dutch film producers<\/strong>, who have experience in fiction or documentary filmmaking, or have started their first productions in animation. The participants should have been responsible as main producers for at least two projects<\/strong> in their current field and are developing their animated project or have ambition to develop or enter in production of an animated project. The participation fee of 300 \u20ac<\/strong> includes a festival accreditation to KABOOM Animation Festival. Travel and accommodation costs should be covered by the participants.<\/p>\n

Applications are open until <\/strong>26 February<\/strong> 202<\/strong>4<\/strong>!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The <\/em>Animation Lab Netherlands<\/em> is organized in collaboration <\/em>with Film Forward<\/a>, KABOOM Animation Festival<\/a> and <\/em>Nederlandse Audiovisuele<\/em> Producenten Alliantie \u2013 NAPA<\/em><\/a>. The Animation Lab Netherlands is<\/em> supported by <\/em>Netherlands Film Fund \u2013 FilmFunds<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n
