Call is open for international producers transitioning to animation!\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

CEE Animation Workshop<\/a> and the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market<\/a> are organizing the third Animation Lab<\/b> in Clermont-Ferrand next year. The 4-day workshop is open<\/b> to \u00a0international producers from all areas of the film and audiovisual industry<\/b> who are interested in producing animated films or are about to enter this sector \u2013 preferably but not exclusively with a project idea or short project in development.<\/p>\n

It will take place from 1 to 4 February <\/b>in Clermont-Ferrand, during the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival & Short Film Market. <\/b>
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

Animation Lab Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market 2025<\/strong> offers intensive training tailored to film producers who want to gain knowledge and insight into the production and distribution of animated short films. It aims to provide an in-depth insight into the animation industry. It covers topics such as the development of short animation projects, production and post-production, festival strategy and distribution. The programme is built around inspiring lectures by leading experts, group work on project ideas and production plans, feedback sessions and individual consultations.<\/p>\n

The intense workshop will be led by two experienced animation professionals, Brecht Van Elslande <\/b>(Animal Tank<\/a>, Belgium) <\/b>and\u00a0Kristel Toldsepp<\/b> (A Film<\/a>, Estonia) <\/b>under the guidance of representatives of the CEE Animation Workshop.<\/p>\n

In addition to the enhanced skills, participants will receive free\u00a0accreditation to the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market, access to Euro Connection coproduction forum, and post-workshop benefits of joining the CEE Animation network of alumni<\/b> with ongoing access to talks and presentations, as well as discounts to attend industry-leading events.<\/p>\n

The Animation Lab is open to international producers from all areas of the film and audiovisual industry <\/b>who are interested in producing animated films or are about to enter this sector \u2013 preferably but not exclusively with a project idea or short project in development.<\/p>\n

It will take place from February 1 to 4 in Clermont-Ferrand, France<\/b>, during the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and Short Film Market (arrival Jan. 31 \/ departure Feb. 4-5). There is no restriction on the country of origin of participants, up to 30% of participants from outside the EU are allowed.<\/p>\n

The working group in the Animation Lab consists of up to 8 participants, 2 experts as team leaders, the CEE Animation production team and an external lecturer. Producers applying must fill in the form below no later than November 20, 2024.\u00a0 APPLY HERE.<\/a>

The application requires a link to the visual approach and style of the project, if relevant.<\/p>\n

The participation fee is EUR 250<\/b>, including festival and market accreditation, tuition and lunches. Travel expenses and accommodation are not included.<\/p>\n

The workshop will be held in English.<\/b><\/p>\n

The workshop is prepared in collaboration between the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market and the CEE Animation Workshop and supported by Creative Europe MEDIA subprogramme.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
