The 4th edition of <\/span>Rise & Shine<\/b> \u2013 Animation Development and Pitching Lab for young talents and their short films \u2013 has successfully wrapped up, following its third and final round at the <\/span>Animateka International Animated Film Festival<\/b> in December.<\/span><\/p>\n

Organized by <\/span>Animafest Zagreb<\/b> and <\/span>Animateka<\/b>, in collaboration with CEE Animation, this year\u2019s edition of the Rise & Shine hosted<\/span> 11 amazing projects<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rise & Shine is a three-part storytelling, development and pitching lab for first- and second-time professional filmmakers and their short films (up to 20 minutes). The mentors of the fourth edition were director and scriptwriter <\/span>Pedro Rivero <\/b>(ES), producer <\/span>Jelena Popovi\u0107<\/b> (NFB, CA), and producer <\/span>Anna V\u00e1\u0161ov\u00e1<\/b>\u00a0(13ka, CZ).<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2025 edition kicked off in June at Animafest Zagreb, with a series of lectures and workshops focusing on story development. In October, the teams worked on the art of presenting their projects to a live audience, as well as the production of animated short films. The final part of their Rise & Shine 2025 journey, the pitching presentation in front of the professional audience, took place at AnimatekaPRO.<\/span><\/p>\n
