Between November 25 – 27th we organised the first Green Animation Lab<\/strong> for Polish animation producers and studio representatives in collaboration\u00a0 with Ecoprod<\/strong><\/a>, a French association focused on sustainable audiovisual production and policy and SPPA – Stowarzyszenie Producent\u00f3w Polskiej Animacji<\/a>.<\/strong> The pilot training marked a major step forward in supporting more sustainable animation practices across the Central and Eastern European region – an area where structured environmental training for animation studios has, until now, been largely absent, or based on live-action industry-based practices.<\/p>\n

Organised in cooperation with Ecoprod and SPPA – Stowarzyszenie Producent\u00f3w Polskiej Animacji, the two and a half day programme brought together animation producers, studio managers, and creative professionals from across Poland. Participants from across the national industry, spanning 2D, 3D and stop-motion studios established production houses, creating a dynamic environment for shared learning and exchange.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The training was led on-site by Valent\u00edna Hu\u010dkov\u00e1, CEE Animation\u2019s Sustainability Manager<\/strong><\/a>, whose work focuses on building greener standards for animation and film workflows across the region. The programme combined in-person sessions with online expert lectures, hands-on exercises, and group discussions to create a comprehensive learning experience.<\/p>\n

Over the course of the workshop, participants explored key aspects of environmentally responsible production, including:<\/p>\n
