CEE Animation Workshop is a year-long project development and producer skills advancement training program designed for film professionals working in the field of animation.

\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Workshop is tailor-made to suit the needs of<\/span> producers and their creative teams<\/b> with animated projects of <\/span>any format <\/b>(shorts, TV, feature length, hybrid, XR) in development.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Workshop is also open to a limited number of <\/span>producers without projects<\/b> seeking to build a long term strategy for their company.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the development of the coronavirus pandemic, the CEE Animation Workshop was among the first to shift entirely online already in March 2020. Based on the gained experience and the tested creative approach to e-learning, the <\/span><\/b> 2022 edition of the CEE Animation Workshop will consist of 4 modules<\/strong>; 3 modules will be online and 1 module will be on-site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Program description<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

For the fourth year in a row, the CEE Animation Workshop is the only Creative Europe MEDIA supported training activity especially <\/span>tailored to the needs of animation<\/b> producers and their creative teams <\/b>from <\/span>low production capacity countries <\/b>who have projects in development<\/span>.<\/b> With its holistic approach, the CEE Animation Workshop accompanies a project over a period of one year <\/span>from its early stages to a fully developed project<\/b> ready to access the international market for financing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the program which is a combination of <\/span>group work, individual sessions and lectures<\/b>, participants acquire diverse advanced skills needed to be competitive on the market, which they can not only apply to their current project, but also use to grow their career, company and other future projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the Workshop is devised as a <\/span>networking event<\/b> where participants get to meet other fellow producers, experts and industry decision makers who contribute to their network of future partners.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the Workshop, participants with a project focus on <\/span>script, visuals and production package development<\/b>. They have the opportunity to advance their scripts, train in the art of pitching and get access to inspirational lectures by acclaimed professionals and detailed case studies of successful projects. Producers gain resourceful knowledge on financial and creative aspects of animation production, deepen their knowledge in areas such as co-productions, animation production management, financing and budgeting, legal aspects, marketing, festival strategies and even negotiation and conflict resolution. From this year onward, the CEE Animation Workshop comprises developing and advancing skills in the area of <\/span>XR projects<\/b> that use animation as the primary technique.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Workshop finishes with the <\/span>final presentation of a full production package<\/b> and<\/b> pre-recorded pitch<\/b> to a carefully selected group of industry players, such as representatives of funding bodies, broadcasters, producers, sales agents and distributors in the format of one-on-one meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to following the complete Workshop program, <\/span>career-oriented participants <\/b>(producers without a project) also receive personalized mentoring on their career and company strategy development.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the completion of the Workshop, participants can take advantage of the CEE Animation network and gain privileged access to various industry and market events in the EU. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

The program is led by <\/span>renowned producers and animation script consultants<\/b> in the roles of group leaders, who closely follow and mentor projects for the duration of the program.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In previous years, participants had the chance to work with seasoned producers such as Moe Honan (Ireland), Si\u00fan N\u00ed Raghallaigh (Ireland), Ewa Puszczynska (Poland), Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Le Corre (France), Ole Wendorff-\u00d8stergaard (Denmark). Script consultants with experience in animation included Rita Domonyi (Hungary), Phil Parker (UK) and Fran\u00e7ois Pirot (France).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

The program consists of four modules, each of them divided into two parts:
\n<\/span>– t<\/strong>heoretical part<\/b> during which participants access the digital knowledge base of pre-recorded lectures and receive assignments;
\n– practical part<\/b> during which online meetings with experts and fellow participants take place and theory is put into practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
