The first and only onsite module of this year\u2019s edition is taking place in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, Poland. Between 22 and 28 August 2022, Vienna House Andel&#8217;s Hotel is hosting 11 projects in development, 26 participants, 10 guest expert lecturers and 25 Polish animation industry representatives.<p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"paragraph-block_6304d5bd40298\" class=\"block-paragraph\">\n    <p>Juraj Krasnohorsky, head of studies of the CEE Animation Workshop, sums up the programme by saying, <em>\u2018We are very excited to meet everyone in the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a module this week since we have met only online up until now. We believe that we have prepared a great programme of expert lectures with tailor-made individual consultations on company strategy and script development, production package and pitch.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Workshop producers and group leaders <strong>Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Le Corre<\/strong> and <strong>Ole Wendorff-\u00d8stergaard<\/strong> will be joined by the head of studies and producer <strong>Juraj Krasnohorsky<\/strong> and programme consultant and producer <strong>Jo\u017eko Rutar<\/strong> to provide the production package and pitch feedback. Guest experts <strong>Caroline Williams<\/strong> and <strong>Diane Roberts<\/strong> will hold individual feedback sessions on company development strategy. Groups will be led by already mentioned <strong>Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Le Corre<\/strong> and <strong>Ole Wendorff-\u00d8stergaard<\/strong>, joined by <strong>Rita Domonyi<\/strong> and <strong>Phil Parker<\/strong>. The onsite module is co-organised by the <strong>Polish Animation Producers Association \u2013 SPPA<\/strong> with the support of the Polish team \u2013 <strong>Wojciech Leszczy\u0144ski<\/strong>, producer at WJTeam \/ Likaon studio, and <strong>Marcin Koty\u0142a<\/strong>, project manager at SPPA.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the intensive work, the participants will also have a chance to listen to various lectures by international industry experts. <strong>Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Le Corre<\/strong> will talk about the distribution of adult animation, <strong>Aur\u00e9lie Angebault<\/strong> will give a lecture titled Compostman: Never give up, never surrender, <strong>Ulrich Michael<\/strong> will present the legal aspects of film distribution, co-producing with an sVOD platform and negotiating film agreements, <strong>Martin Li\u010dko<\/strong> will focus on the production pipeline on animated films and series, while <strong>Jan Naszewski<\/strong> will discuss how to work with a sales agent.<\/p>\n<p>The last days of the week in \u0141od\u017a will be dedicated to networking and skills sharing with the local animation industry professionals and decision-makers with the aim of facilitating new connections and possible future collaborations. Special attention will be given to the Polish animation industry, and a panel with guests from Poland (including <strong>Monika G\u0142owacka<\/strong> from \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Film Commission\/EC1, <strong>Katarzyna Godzic<\/strong> from the Polish Film Institute and members of SPPA) will explore the possibilities of producing in and with Poland. In addition, a case study on the Polish animated feature film The Peasants will be held by <strong>Sean Bobbitt<\/strong>, producer at Breakthru Films and President of the Board at SPPA. The highlight of the entire day&#8217;s programme will be a networking event in the hospitable surroundings of the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Film School garden.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We are especially happy to have the opportunity to host more than 20 Polish producers, film funds representatives and other film professionals and have them explore our participants\u2019 projects, being able to meet in person and hopefully start some new international collaborations\u2019, says Sa\u0161a Bach, the managing director of the CEE Animation Workshop.<\/p>\n<p>The event in Poland is organised in collaboration with the <strong>Polish Animation Producers Association \u2013 SPPA<\/strong> and with local partners from <strong>Vienna House Andel\u2019s Hotel<\/strong>,<strong> \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Film School<\/strong>,<strong> Indeks Film Studio<\/strong>,<strong> WJTeam, Likaon<\/strong>,<strong> \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Film Commission<\/strong>.
