{"id":9367,"date":"2023-02-22T08:55:31","date_gmt":"2023-02-22T07:55:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ceeanimation.eu\/?post_type=news&#038;p=9367"},"modified":"2023-02-22T08:56:32","modified_gmt":"2023-02-22T07:56:32","slug":"the-5th-edition-of-the-ceea-workshop-starts-in-ljubljana-slovenia","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ceeanimation.eu\/news\/the-5th-edition-of-the-ceea-workshop-starts-in-ljubljana-slovenia\/","title":{"rendered":"The 5th Edition of the CEEA Workshop starts in Ljubljana, Slovenia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n<div id=\"paragraph-block_636cac64c6190\" class=\"block-paragraph\">\n    <p><strong>The CEE Animation Workshop enters its fifth edition with an on-site module that is taking place from 27 February to 5 March 2023 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. 32 participants with 12 projects from 16 countries will embark on a year-long training, that will see their project from the early stage to the final developed production package, ready to access the market. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018We are looking forward to start the first module of the fifth edition with everybody in person in Ljubljana. We have prepared an exciting programme with internationally renowned professionals, who will share their skills and insights with the new generation of participating creative teams. Another great feature of having the first week on-site is also the networking with regional industry decision-makers, which hopefully will facilitate some new connections that will last, \u2019says Sa\u0161a Bach, Managing Director.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The CEE Animation Workshop is entering its fifth edition by building on great experiences and strong foundations from the last four years of very successful training, while also introducing some fresh features. Established producers <strong>Tonje Skar Reiersen<\/strong> (Mikrofilm, Norway) and <strong>Corinne Destombes<\/strong> (Folimage, France) are joining the team as main group leaders, while script consultors and the well-known CEE Animation Workshop collaborators, <strong>Phil Parker<\/strong> (United Kingdom) and <strong>Rita Domonyi<\/strong> (Hungary) are returning.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the intensive group work, there will also be lectures, panels and masterclasses led by various experts. <strong>Phil Parker <\/strong>will lecture about specifics of screenwriting for animation, while <strong>Tonje Skar Reiersen <\/strong>will present a case study of her latest feature <em>Titina <\/em>and lecture about securing a sustainable relationships in co-production. Established Estonian producer <strong>Kristel Toldsepp<\/strong> will share her knowledge on the animation process and budgeting and <strong>Martina Pe\u0161taj, <\/strong>Head of children content at RTV Slovenia and media psychologist will share her valuable expertise about animation for kids and will also be joined by the prolific directors <strong>\u0160pela \u010cade\u017e<\/strong> and <strong>Ur\u0161ka Djuki\u0107 <\/strong>to discuss the important topic of inclusion on the screen. <strong>Ulrich Michel <\/strong>will tackle the legal aspects of development and co-productions, while <strong>Jo\u017eko Rutar <\/strong>will shed light on the landscape of the animation industry in the CEE region. Round table with international experts will be held on the topic of scaling animation capacities in the region. On the final day, <strong>Juraj Krasnohorsky<\/strong>\u00a0will give a lecture on the production package and SWOT.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop will consist of 4 modules, balancing the online and on-site modules. The next three modules will be held online in April, onsite (Bratislava, Slovakia) in August, and completed online in November 2023. After the completion of the Workshop, participants will be able to take advantage of the CEE Animation network and gain privileged access to various industry and market events in the EU.<\/p>\n<p>The CEE Animation Workshop is supported and co-financed by the Creative Europe \u2013 MEDIA programme, Ministry of Public Administration Republic of Slovenia, Slovenian Film Centre, Eurimages and AIPA.
